Special Events:
The Business Expo will be on October 18th, 6 to 9 PM at the Brunswick High School. Abbie reported the registration forms for the Expo have been mailed out to a mailing list using the Brunswick Directory. More restaurants are need for the event. Kelly Fowler is doing a poster and flyers for the Expo. The web site is up at www.brunswickexpo.com. Brunswick Physical Therapy will sponsor the shopping bags. Abbie will check on the cost of Totes. A tote with the GBACC logo on one side and Brunswick Physical Therapy on the other is a possibility. The Brunswick High School boosters may sale food at the event. A letter to non profits encouraging them to participate will be sent out later.
Kick Off to Railroad Days – It was agreed having the event in the area behind Sundance Art and Frame would be the best option. Abbie will talk with Scott Lessler about using the area. The Kick Off will be from 6 to 8 and will follow the plans from previous years; beer & wine, food from local restaurants, music. Abbie will speak with Tomy Wright to see if he will play.
New Members Reception/Mixer – The reception will be Thursday, September 26, 2013, 5 to 7 PM. Jerry will ask Hanna if Beans will be available. Giving out tickets for the first drinks to attendees was approved.
End of the Year Mixer – At this mixer the GBACC Charity Awards will be given and the 2013 GBACC Awards will be presented. The tentative date would be December 5, 2013 with the time to be determined. Debbie will check with Rebecca to see if the second floor of the museum can be used for the reception, with the awards in the basement room.

Tourism & Instruction: Abbie will be working on a tourism site for the GBACC web page sometime in late September. Jerry will help with this project. The idea is to promote tourism in Brunswick, the river, tow path, railroad, Heritage Museum and the Brunswick Camp Grounds.
