Opening:
The February meeting of the GBACC Board was called to order at 5:42 pm on March 7, 2016 by Terry Lewis.
Approval of Minutes
Minutes from February 2016 reviewed and approved.
Approval of the Treasurer’s Report
GBACC Treasurer Ellis Burruss gave the report. It was approved as given.
Using the 2013 budget as a template, blank budget forms were passed out and the board suggested amounts for the categories. Ellis will use the information to prepare a draft budget. Ellis and Terry have been researching general liability insurance and will make a recommendation.
Open Issues
Advertising
A copy of the Frederick News Post insert was passed around for members to view. The next advertising opportunity will be the back page of the Brunswick Citizen.
Brunswick Business Directory
Ellis reported the directory being developed and printed by the Frederick News Post is on schedule and copies may be available for the GBACC Tenth Anniversary Dinner.
Welcome Totes
The welcome totes are scheduled to be delivered March 20th a total of 120 welcome totes are to be given to the community. Lovettsville and Brunswick city halls will take some as will Brunswick Crossing.
Website maintenance and update
Michelle and Callie discussed their meeting with Phil about the web site. Rebranding GBACC was discussed.
Tenth Anniversary Celebration:
The invitations for the Dinner have been sent out. Michelle reported on the progress of the Anniversary Dinner, Sheila advised on her discussion with CM Bloomers for flowers and Monica’s Sugar Shack for the cake. A decision was made on the flowers and Sheila will inform CM Bloomers. Monica is out of town; Sheila will meet with her next week to discuss the cake. The last meeting for the celebration will be March 23, at 7:00 PM in the American Legion.
New Business
GBACC participation in upcoming Lovettsville events:
Michelle has signed GBACC up for the Lovettsville Expo April 24th, 1 to 3 PM and the May Fest on May 28th.
