Call to Order at 4:35 PM
Treasurer Report: The Treasurer’s report was available and accepted as written. The treasurer’s report is on file with the Treasurer and is available on request.
Committee Reports:
Membership Report: Debbie Robinette was not available so Jerry reported the Membership Chair did a recount on GBACC members and the correct total is 81. All the October dues statements have been completed and mailed.
Advertising/Promotions:
The GBACC Frederick News Post Expo Inserts have sold out and will be in the October 28th and November 4th One side of the insert will have a full page ad for the Expo the other side will have business ads with “visit me at the business booth number”. The next advertising opportunity will be the back page of the Brunswick Citizen on December 3rd.
Special Events:
Expo – Ellis gave an update on the event. It is scheduled to be at the Brunswick Fire Department on Wednesday, November 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The booths are sold out. Expo posters and flyers are ready to go out and will be delivered before the Veterans Day Parade. The exhibitor’s promotions cards will be distributed by Ellis. A working group for the expo is scheduled for Thursday, Oct 23 at the Main Street office.
- The End of the Year Reception was discussed and it was agreed to keep it the same as previous years and the Wednesday, December 3rd date was approved. The hours are 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Rosanne Roe will find out the rental changes and if the date is available.
New Business:
The board approved an associate membership for retired business people who would like to be involved in GBACC. There would not be a membership fee and hopefully they would be helpful as volunteers with the organization. This will be added to the By Laws.
Terry Lewis will be the lead on a GBACC coupon book.
GBACC will sponsor a Brunswick History Commission “Business and People of Brunswick, MD 2012” Volume Two book. Approximate cost is $30.00.
The GBACC Secretary duties were briefly discussed. It was decided the 2015 Board will be invited to the November 18th Board Meeting and the new board duties including the Secretary’s will be discussed.
