Call to Order at 7:40 AM Treasurer Report: The treasurer report was not available for the meeting. The treasurer report is on file with the Treasurer and is available on request. Old Business:

Committee Reports:

Membership Report: Debbie gave the report. All billing for membership dues is up to date.

Advertising/Promotions: Jerry – The next advertising opportunity will be the Frederick News Post insert to coincide with the Expo. One side will be the ad for the Expo and the ads on the other side businesses from the Expo will be encouraged to advertise. It is sold out unless the Expo Committee only uses ½ the page then three more will need to be sold.

Special Events:
The Business Expo will be on October 18th, 6 to 9 PM at the Brunswick High School. Terry reported the mailings have been sent out. School is out so the committee is trying to get permission to enter the building earlier. The web site is up at www.brunswickexpo.com.
Kick Off to Railroad Days – The event will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Railroad Square Park. It will be in the same area where Main Street will have the Beer and Wine garden. The restaurants downtown has agreed to supply food for the event. GBACC will pay $50.00 to the restaurants to prepare food for approximately 30 people. Tomy Wright will play for the event.
New Members Reception/Mixer – The reception will be Thursday, September 26, 2013, 5 to 7 PM at Beans in the Belfry. Beans will supply the food and will keep a tab for drinks. GBACC will pay for the first drink of attendees. Jerry has the name tags and tickets for the event. One door prize has been donated so far.
End of the Year Mixer – At this mixer the GBACC Charity Awards will be given. The tentative date would be December 5, 2013 with the time to be determined. Debbie will check with Rebecca to see if the second floor of the museum can be used for the reception, with the awards in the basement room or if we can’t use the second floor then just the basement room. Jerry will put a article in the Friday Newsletter request member to submit ideas for our annual donation to charity.

Tourism & Instruction: Abbie was not present at the meeting but emailed “I think we should work along with the Tourism Committee to develop products. Jerry and I can work on the GBACC page and get some information about the attractions on it.” Debbie and Jerry attended the Tourism Committee meeting sponsored by the Brunswick Heritage Museum focusing on tourism in the local area. Abbie was in attendance but representing Brunswick Main Street. It was the first meeting for this committee and general was a get to know what the different organizations are doing about tourism. Future meetings will concentrate more on what we can do.

New Business:

The nominating committee has not reported back to the board on the status of their search for members to run for the GBACC Board. Debbie will check with Ellen Refro.
